Waldorf College

Waldorf College, located in Forest City, Iowa, United States, is a four-year liberal arts, for-profit college.
== History ==
Waldorf was founded as an academy and business college in 1903 by C.S. Salveson, then pastor of what is now Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa. In 1920 it became a junior college; and in 1994, the college received accreditation to offer accelerated bachelor's degree programs in select disciplines. By 2001, Waldorf College became a fully accredited baccalaureate institution, and its athletic programs joined the MCC Midwest Classic Conference and the NAIA National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
In recent years until 2009, the college was affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, when, due to financial problems, the college was sold to for-profit Mayes Education, owner of Columbia Southern University, a distance education institution, located in Orange Beach, Alabama.
